Which school will be the best for my child?

“The school that is the best for your child is the one where he/she is nearest to God.”

As principle of this school I bow my head every morning at the feet of God and I plead: “Dear God, help me as manager of this school that those things of eternal value will still be paramount in our lives and please help us never to be the reason for any of these little ones to stumble.”

With every parent I want to say this prayer:

“Dear Father, when my child is grown up, don’t let him/her become s important in his/her own eyes that he/she will stand in the light of others.  And dear God, if You prepared for him/her in Your wisdom a minor place on earth, let him/her take that place with dignity.  Let him/her fulfill their daily tasks with honour.  By creating man in Your image You glorify Your name.”

To each and every teacher I say: 

“God called you by the name to work at Leeuwspruit, my prayer is that the spade we use to labour in God’s vineyard will never rust in our hands.  We have the dangerous privilege to be able to change a child’s life forever.”

To the learners: 

Once upon a time I cried because I did not have shoes to wear - then I noticed someone who did not have feet.  “There will always be someone who suffers more than you do.  Remember, Jesus is only a prayer away.

To every supporter of our school:

 “There is nothing braver, than the heart of a volunteer.”

I hope and believe with all my heart that:  “Together we shall make a difference - let us take hands and work together creating a new Leeuwspruit.  We are on our way to the top - see you there!”
